Your doorway theater idea is brilliant! Very cool. You know what might make a nice accessory is background scenery that could hang behind the curtains for the puppets to play in front of. A castle backdrop for fairy tales, a city backdrop, or a forest and so on. Maybe they could be printed on fabric and hung from a second rod? Then sold with the right puppets to tell the story.
